2 day painting
I was in the mood and had the time, but I did not feel like finishing the painting I had going so I searched my reference photos for something to start. I came up with a wonderful sky behind the pyramids, but I really did not care to paint the pyramids. I replaced them with the Taj Ma-hal and there you have it. An acrylic on 16x20 canvas. I really like the warm monotone palette. Having tired of the warm colors after looking at them for 2 days I painted the above - 16x20 canvas of Ross Castle using very little warm tones and adding blue to nearly every color I used. That one took a little under a week, painted in small spots of time rather than the full two days in the Taj Ma-hal. Ross Castle is in Ireland by the way. While neither is really myth inspired they both have a story book aspect about them. Enjoy:)
